Grammy Winners That Might Surprise You

People you’d never expect to have won a Grammy include Eugene Levy, Bradley Cooper, Kate Winslet, the Obamas, the Clintons, and Zach Braff.

Former president Jimmy Carter won a Grammy this year, for narrating a book of his Sunday school lessons.  It was actually his FOURTH.

But he’s someone you’d never expect to be NOMINATED for a Grammy, let alone win one.

But he’s not the only one.  Here are some other people you’d be surprised to learn have a Grammy:

A lot of celebrities have Grammys in the Spoken Word category, often for narrating their own books.  They include Billand Hillary ClintonBarack and Michelle ObamaMagic JohnsonBetty White, and Kate Winslet.

Eugene Levy has a Grammy for the song “A Mighty Wind”, from the movie of the same name.  It won Best Song Written for a Motion Picture in 2004.

Steve Martin has FIVE Grammys, but only two are for comedy albums.  The other three are in the Bluegrass and Country categories, for his banjo playing.

Bradley Cooper has THREE Grammys:  One for “Maestro”, and two for “A Star Is Born”.

Zach Braff has a Grammy for putting together the compilation soundtrack for his movie “Garden State”.

Stephen Colbert has two spoken word Grammys, but he has another one for his album “A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!”

Joaquin Phoenix has a Grammy for the “Walk the Line” soundtrack.

Scott and Sadie

Meet Scott and Sadie: the anti-heroes of morning radio turned podcast renegades. Scott’s 40 years in broadcasting have left him fluent in snark, while Sadie’s nepotistic origins (thanks, Mom!) brought the unfiltered charm that made them a Northern Colorado favorite. After corporate radio ghosted them harder than a bad Tinder date, the duo ditched FCC babysitters and went full rogue. Now, they’re back with a podcast that’s equal parts wit, sarcasm, and a big middle finger to mediocrity. Loyal fans, curious newcomers, or algorithm strays—welcome to the chaos.
