Did Blake Shelton Try to Hook Up with Hoda Kotb?

Blake Shelton surprised Hoda Kotb during her final week on the “Today” show and shared an old story that made everyone blush. Hoda’s been known to have a crush on him forever . . . But years ago, when Blake finally saw her alone at a party, she ran away from him.

If you didn’t know, Hoda Kotb has a huge crush on Blake Shelton.  And since it’s her final week on the “Today” show, Jenna Bush Hager surprised Hoda with a facetime from Blake.

That’s when things got juicy.  Or awkward, depending on how old you are.

Jenna started things off by saying, “Hoda was in love with you for many years.  I think she’s let that go, but she still adores you, and I know you adore her.”

And then Blake said, “It’s funny, too, that you talked about Hoda saying I was her first love or whatever.  I did run into her in Nashville one time, off camera, it had nothing to do with television . . . And I thought it was going to be our moment.

“But she completely ran away from me.  I mean, she ran away like totally afraid of me . . . I was like ‘Hoda you’re here!’  And you were like ‘I gotta go.'”

Hoda then smiled and said that she’s never leaving parties early once she retires.

Jenna pushed a little further and asked Blake if he was going to shoot his shot, or lean in for a little kiss.  And even though this was long before Gwen Stefani, Blake told Jenna to, quote, “Slow your roll a little bit.”

Meet Scott and Sadie: the anti-heroes of morning radio turned podcast renegades. Scott’s 40 years in broadcasting have left him fluent in snark, while Sadie’s nepotistic origins (thanks, Mom!) brought the unfiltered charm that made them a Northern Colorado favorite. After corporate radio ghosted them harder than a bad Tinder date, the duo ditched FCC babysitters and went full rogue. Now, they’re back with a podcast that’s equal parts wit, sarcasm, and a big middle finger to mediocrity. Loyal fans, curious newcomers, or algorithm strays—welcome to the chaos.
