Friday Is the Best Day of the Week to Order Pizza

A poll by Pizza Hut found the best day to order pizza is . . . TODAY. Friday got the most votes, followed by Saturday and Wednesday.

Pizza Hut released their second annual “Pizza Trends Report.”  And it found that TODAY is the best day of the week to eat it.

43% said Friday . . . 23% said Saturday . . . and Wednesday is a distant third with 11% of the vote.  Here are a few more quick stats. . .

1.  They claim they’ve settled the debate on the RIGHT way to eat pizza.  Do you fold it . . . not fold it . . . or eat it with a fork?  The winner with almost half the vote is NO fold.  Just start in on it tip-first.  44% said using a fork is a “food crime.”

(No mention of crust-first even though they claimed that’s how we’d eat their stuffed-crust when it debuted in 1995.  Donald Trump even did an ad.)

2.  A third of Americans expect to eat more pizza than last year.  Kansas eats the most per capita, followed by the Dakotas, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

3.  57% of us like cold pizza the next day, no need to heat it up.

4.  Thin-crust is the most popular type, at least at Pizza Hut.  Stuffed crust is next, then hand-tossed.

5.  New York-style is #1 again with 29% of the vote.  Chicago deep dish, 22% . . . Sicilian, 8% . . . and Detroit-style, 4%.

6.  58% of us dip our pizza, at least sometimes.  Ranch is the most popular dipping sauce, followed by garlic sauce, marinara, and a tie for fourth between blue cheese and Buffalo.

7.  28% of Americans would give up drinking for a year for unlimited free pizza.  20% would give up coffee, and 14% would give up sweets.

8.  The top celeb we’d grab a slice with is Morgan Freeman.  (???)  He got more votes than Taylor SwiftPaul McCartneyJoe Rogan, or George Clooney.

9.  Last stat:  The average American eats 288 slices a year.  That’s just over 95 BILLION slices nationwide.

Are you a thin-crust traditionalist or a stuffed-crust rebel? And which celeb would you grab a slice with—Morgan Freeman, Taylor Swift, or someone else entirely? Share your pizza thoughts in the comments!

Meet Scott and Sadie: the anti-heroes of morning radio turned podcast renegades. Scott’s 40 years in broadcasting have left him fluent in snark, while Sadie’s nepotistic origins (thanks, Mom!) brought the unfiltered charm that made them a Northern Colorado favorite. After corporate radio ghosted them harder than a bad Tinder date, the duo ditched FCC babysitters and went full rogue. Now, they’re back with a podcast that’s equal parts wit, sarcasm, and a big middle finger to mediocrity. Loyal fans, curious newcomers, or algorithm strays—welcome to the chaos.
