I guess with great success, also comes great failure? Although you can hardly call it a failure being nominated for the biggest award of the year.
In 39 years, he’s been nominated for Entertainer of the Year 14 times . . . and only won TWICE.
That’s pretty hard to believe. Surely, the “King of Country” would’ve won more than that? So, the moral of the story is: Don’t hold too much stock in these award shows. The ACMs air tonight at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on Prime.
George has a total of 24 solo male ACM wins, which puts him at the top . . . for now. Chris Stapleton is hot on his heels with 20. But since George has no nominations this year, and Chris has six . . . All Chris would need is five wins to overtake him.
