Snarkless – Because even we need a break from the madness. Once a day, we swallow our sarcasm (it burns, honestly) and deliver three legitimately good news stories—no cynicism, no side-eye, just pure, unfiltered positivity. It’s weird for us too, but hey, even the apocalypse deserves a little sunshine.
Here are a few more Snarkless stories making the rounds . . .
1. A high school baseball team in Arizona was about to take the field, when everyone heard a loud bang . . . and then saw some smoke. There was a fire nearby, and some of the players left to rush over and help fight it with hoses.
The fire was on a woman’s property, and she didn’t realize it at first. She was working from home and was wearing headphones. Thanks to their quick thinking, and the help of first responders, the fire was put out, and the house was saved.
2. Last week, staff at an aviation service company in California paused work, when they noticed the sound of MEOWING coming from an excavator parked roughly 20 feet from their offices.
There were four two-week old kittens inside. After a 30-minute rescue effort, they were all safely recovered and are in the process of finding homes.
3. A 12-year-old boy in New Zealand created an A.I. “Pill Bot” to stop his grandmother from taking the wrong medication, due to her poor eyesight.
The boy was asked if we should fear A.I., and he said no . . . but joked, “If A.I. does take over the world, I hope this project helps them realize I’m on their side!”
