Snarkless: Caring Pets, Good Samaritans, and a Wild Wiener Dog Update

From heroic dogs to brave strangers, these real-life Snarkless stories prove that even a wild world still has kindness everywhere.

Snarkless – Because even we need a break from the madness. Once a day, we swallow our sarcasm (it burns, honestly) and deliver three legitimately good news stories—no cynicism, no side-eye, just pure, unfiltered positivity. It’s weird for us too, but hey, even the apocalypse deserves a little sunshine.

Here are a few more Snarkless stories making the rounds . . .

1.  A woman in Minnesota named Breanna Bortner says her dog knew she had breast cancer before she or her doctors did.

She found a lump and was waiting on a biopsy, but she says she knew it was cancer when her cockapoo named Mochi became fixated on her boobs.  She did 16 rounds of chemo and finished up her treatments about a year ago.

2.  Good News Update:  The miniature wiener dog that survived 16 months in the wild in Australia is headed home.  Wildlife officials announced on Friday that they finally managed to catch her.  (Here’s the video.)

Her name is Valerie.  She ran off while her owners were camping on Kangaroo Island near Adelaide in late-2023.  She somehow made it 529 days on her own.

3.  Some psycho tried to drive off in a car with two kids in it near Jacksonville, Florida last month.  But more than a dozen Good Samaritans jumped in and stopped him.  “Fox News” just posted security footage of it.  Cops caught the guy later the same day and arrested him.

Meet Scott and Sadie: the anti-heroes of morning radio turned podcast renegades. Scott’s 40 years in broadcasting have left him fluent in snark, while Sadie’s nepotistic origins (thanks, Mom!) brought the unfiltered charm that made them a Northern Colorado favorite. After corporate radio ghosted them harder than a bad Tinder date, the duo ditched FCC babysitters and went full rogue. Now, they’re back with a podcast that’s equal parts wit, sarcasm, and a big middle finger to mediocrity. Loyal fans, curious newcomers, or algorithm strays—welcome to the chaos.
