Top Easter Candies Ranked: Why Peeps Are Falling Behind

Reese’s Eggs top the list of popular Easter candies, but Peeps didn’t even crack the Top 10 this year!

There are foods that most people DISLIKE, but find themselves eating one month a year, out of tradition . . . or just because it’s around.

You know, like:  Fruitcake for Christmas . . . cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving . . . candy corn for Halloween . . . gefilte fish for Passover . . . and marshmallow Peeps for Easter.

Instacart released a list of the most popular Easter candies on their platform . . . and Peeps did NOT make the Top 10.  Here’s the list:

1.  Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs

2.  Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

3.  Cadbury Chocolate Mini Eggs

4.  Hershey’s Milk Chocolate

5.  Cadbury Creme Eggs

6.  Sour Patch Kids

7.  Lindt Milk Chocolate Bunnies

8.  Starburst Jelly Beans

9.  Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Candy Eggs

10.  Kinder Chocolate Candy Eggs, with toys inside.

Even though Peeps missed the Top 10 nationally, they’re very popular in some areas of the country . . . particularly in Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

Other regional faves include:  Justin’s Peanut Butter Cups in San Francisco . . . Whoppers’ Malted Milk Balls in Phoenix . . . Cadbury Milk Chocolate Bars in New York City . . . and Cadbury Creme Eggs in Houston and Portland, Oregon.

Jelly beans are the top last-minute buy.  They spike in popularity the DAY BEFORE Easter.  Around 35% of Americans say jelly beans are one of their favorite Easter candies.

Meet Scott and Sadie: the anti-heroes of morning radio turned podcast renegades. Scott’s 40 years in broadcasting have left him fluent in snark, while Sadie’s nepotistic origins (thanks, Mom!) brought the unfiltered charm that made them a Northern Colorado favorite. After corporate radio ghosted them harder than a bad Tinder date, the duo ditched FCC babysitters and went full rogue. Now, they’re back with a podcast that’s equal parts wit, sarcasm, and a big middle finger to mediocrity. Loyal fans, curious newcomers, or algorithm strays—welcome to the chaos.
