Judge Blocks Release of Gene Hackman Death Scene Photos

A judge ruled that images of Gene and Betsy Hackman’s bodies can’t be released, respecting their family’s privacy.

A judge ruled that pictures and video of Gene and Betsy Hackman’s bodies can’t be released to the public.  Among those opposing the release was 95-year-old Gene’s mother-in-law.  (???)

Bodycam footage exists of police finding the bodies of Gene Hackman and his wife Besty back in February.  Pictures were also taken.  And there are people who want all that material released.

Yoshie Feaster is not one of them.  And she may have a legit legal claim, because she was Gene’s mother-in-law.  Yes, 95-year-old Gene Hackman had a mother-in-law.  (???)

Remember, Betsy was “only” 65.  Yoshie is her mother.  She’s 91 years old, and she’d like to keep pictures and video of the bodies under wraps so she can grieve in peace.

In legal documents, she said she has, quote, “a constitutional right to avoid seeing images of my daughter’s home, her dead body, her husband’s dead body, and their dog’s corpse.”

A New Mexico judge ruled yesterday that photos and video from the scene CAN be released, but any images of Gene and Betsy CAN’T.  They have to be either blurred or edited out.

Meet Scott and Sadie: the anti-heroes of morning radio turned podcast renegades. Scott’s 40 years in broadcasting have left him fluent in snark, while Sadie’s nepotistic origins (thanks, Mom!) brought the unfiltered charm that made them a Northern Colorado favorite. After corporate radio ghosted them harder than a bad Tinder date, the duo ditched FCC babysitters and went full rogue. Now, they’re back with a podcast that’s equal parts wit, sarcasm, and a big middle finger to mediocrity. Loyal fans, curious newcomers, or algorithm strays—welcome to the chaos.
