Did you get your taxes done this weekend? A ton of Americans were still working on them . . .
A poll taken on Friday found two-thirds of Americans had already filed, or don’t need to this year. Everyone else still had their calculator out.
16% were still working on them . . . another 9% hadn’t started yet . . . and 9% more said they weren’t sure if their taxes were done yet. That might be you if your spouse does your taxes while you binge-watched The Masters.
People in their 20s were the most likely to say they hadn’t done them yet . . . because of course. Maybe just file for an extension, kids.
Around half of people said they find tax season stressful, while half don’t think it’s that bad. But one thing everyone agrees on is they don’t want to pay MORE.
Only 3% of Americans think they pay less than their fair share in taxes. 30% said more than their fair share.
