St. Patty’s Round-Up: Panera’s ‘Pot of Mold’, Plus the Best Cities to Celebrate

Boston tops the list (again) as the best city for St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀 See where your city ranks—and the wildest green food trend of 2025!

Got any big St. Patty’s Day plans?  The site “WalletHub” ranked the best cities to celebrate in . . . and yes, Boston is #1 again.

Chicago was second last year, but fell four spots to #6.  They base it on everything from beer prices to how many St. Patrick’s Day events there are.

The 10 best cities for St. Patrick’s Day in 2025 are . . .

1.  Boston

2.  Reno

3.  Savannah, Georgia

4.  Santa Rosa, California

5.  Worcester, Massachusetts  (WUSS-ster)

6.  Chicago

7.  New York

8.  Henderson, Nevada.  (Just outside Vegas.)

9.  Buffalo, New York

10.  Pittsburgh  Of the 200 cities they looked at, Paterson, New Jersey ranked last.  Then Miramar, Florida and Bellevue, Washington.

In other St. Patty’s Day news:  Panera Bread is selling green bread bowls at select locations this weekend.  The inside is green, and it’s filled with mac-and-cheese.  Here’s a photo.

They’re calling it their “Pot of Gold” . . . but it looks more like a pot of MOLD.  Only people in New York, Boston, Chicago, and St. Louis will be able to get it.

They’re also doing a “Pot of Gold” sweepstakes, where you can win free mac-and-cheese for a year.  To enter, text “LUCKY” to the number 31261 between March 16th and March 21st.

Meet Scott and Sadie: the anti-heroes of morning radio turned podcast renegades. Scott’s 40 years in broadcasting have left him fluent in snark, while Sadie’s nepotistic origins (thanks, Mom!) brought the unfiltered charm that made them a Northern Colorado favorite. After corporate radio ghosted them harder than a bad Tinder date, the duo ditched FCC babysitters and went full rogue. Now, they’re back with a podcast that’s equal parts wit, sarcasm, and a big middle finger to mediocrity. Loyal fans, curious newcomers, or algorithm strays—welcome to the chaos.
