Scott and SadieSome news outlets are reporting that Zach Bryan got into a huge altercation with a fan at a bar, but it turns out that it was a little blown out of proportion.
Which got us thinking, what are the biggest scandals in country music history? Like the real, juicy ones.
Here are the Top 10, in no particular order:
1. Jason Aldean got caught cheating on his high school sweetheart, and the mother of his two children . . . with “American Idol” contestant, Brittany Kerr. But Jason wound up marrying Brittany and having two more kids.
2. When Morgan Wallen almost maimed two police officers with a bar chair.
3. That time the Dixie Chicks called out President George W. Bush.
4. In 1994, Trace Adkins was shot through the heart by his then-wife, after they got in an argument about his drinking. He did not press charges.
5. Kenny Chesney’s 4-month marriage to Renee Zellweger. Renee cited “fraud” as the reason for the annulment.
6. Shania Twain’s husband-swap. This is straight out of a tabloid.
7. Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton’s shocking divorce. They were once the IT couple in country music. (Whose team were you on?)
8. Dolly Parton was sued for $3 million by her former partner Porter Wagoner, EIGHT years after she left his show. But they eventually reconciled, and Dolly was at his bedside when he passed in 2007.
9. Garth Brooks and the sexual assault allegations he’s currently dealing with.
10. And Willie Nelson’s IRS bill for $16.7 million.
