Five Things to Look Forward to in February

We’ve got a whole new month on the way!  Here are a few things to look forward to in February . . .

1.  In sports:  The Pro Bowl is this Sunday . . . the Super Bowl is next Sunday . . . The Daytona 500 and NBA All-Star Game are the 16th . . . MLS Soccer starts back up on the 22nd . . . and the PGA has two big events in February:  the Phoenix Open, and then the Genesis Invitational two weeks from now.

2.  It’s awards season:  The big ones include The Grammys this Sunday . . . the Critics’ Choice Awards next Friday . . . The Spirit Awards on the 22nd . . . and The Screen Actors Guild Awards on the 23rd.  (The Oscars are March 2nd.)

3.  Too much TV to list it all:  “The Voice” returns Monday . . . “The Masked Singer” is back on the 12th . . . “Cobra Kai” returns the 13th . . . “Yellowjackets” on the 14th . . .

. . . “Family Guy”, “90 Day Fiancé”, and “The White Lotus” are back on the 16th . . . season two of “1923” starts the 23rd . . . season three of “Full Swing” hits Netflix the 25th . . . and season 48 of “Survivor” lands the 26th.

4.  Three big movies arrive on Valentine’s Day:  “Captain America: Brave New World” and “Paddington in Peru” both hit theaters on the 14th.  And “Bridget Jones:  Mad About the Boy” premieres on Peacock the same day.

5.  And finally, the holidays:  The big ones are Valentine’s Day (again . . . it’s on the 14th, guys!) . . . Presidents’ Day is the 17th . . . and all of February is Black History Month.

We’ve also got Groundhog Day this Sunday . . . National Pizza Day on the 9th . . . and February 22nd is National Margarita Day.  It’s on a Saturday this year, so . . . that’s dangerous.
