“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey Is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a Record-Tying 19 Weeks

We leave country radio and this happens?! Shaboozey’s smash-hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is now #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the 19th week.

That ties him for the MOST all time.  “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus also got to 19 weeks back in 2019.

And at the time we published this post, the YouTube embedded below had 157.5 million views. Wow.

So clearly mixing hip-hop and country music is a proven winner.  I wonder who will do it next.  As for Shaboozey, he said that country music “resonates really strongly with him.”

But he also said, “I love hip-hop.  And I’m part of their community, too.  That’s what I want to do with my music . . . Be disruptive and show people that music is progressing.”

Scott and Sadie

Meet Scott and Sadie: the anti-heroes of morning radio turned podcast renegades. Scott’s 40 years in broadcasting have left him fluent in snark, while Sadie’s nepotistic origins (thanks, Mom!) brought the unfiltered charm that made them a Northern Colorado favorite. After corporate radio ghosted them harder than a bad Tinder date, the duo ditched FCC babysitters and went full rogue. Now, they’re back with a podcast that’s equal parts wit, sarcasm, and a big middle finger to mediocrity. Loyal fans, curious newcomers, or algorithm strays—welcome to the chaos.
